Dear SRAPPA Members,

What an exciting time we are experiencing in the life of SRAPPA!   In July, SRAPPA partnered with APPA and TNAPPA to host the first Tri-APPA national, regional and state Annual Conference in APPA’s history. I truly hope you were one of the 750 members who traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to take part in this tremendously successful, ground-breaking, educational event. Future conferences are currently in planning as follows:

SRAPPA Conferences
2017 – Charlotte, NC – October 25 – 28, 2017, University of North Carolina – Charlotte
2018 – Greenville, SC – October 6 – 10, 2018, Clemson and Furman Universities
2019 – Covington, KY – Date TBD, Northern Kentucky University

2017 State Conferences
South Carolina – March 5 – 8, 2017, Ocean Dunes / Sands Dunes Resort, Myrtle Beach
Florida – March 8 – 10, 2017, Palm Beach Atlantic University
Virginia – March 13 – 14, 2017, George Mason University, Fairfax
West Virginia – April 9 – 10, 2017
Tennessee – May 15 – 16, 2017, University of Tennessee, Knoxville
North Carolina – May 17 – 20, 2017, North Carolina Central University, Durham
Georgia – May 27 – 31, 2017, Jekyll Island Convention Center

I truly believe we are setting the pace and being trendsetters in these ever-changing times.   My goals for SRAPPA are to continue to support our members by providing educational opportunities and to support our Business Partner family; never becoming satisfied with complacency.   SRAPPA’s Board of Directors believe in you and realize the importance in offering you several financial incentives and educational scholarships, and we will strive to remain the leader in providing Supervisor’s Toolkit training. Throughout 2016 and 2017, we will continue to focus on increasing our Institutional, HBCU, Community Colleges, K-12, and Business Partner membership while maintaining professional training opportunities for each of our members.

Please don’t forget the November 30, 2016 deadline for nomination applications for the annual APPA Awards.  I urge you to visit the APPA website http://appa.org/ and consider applying for one of these prestigious awards or recognize a worthy colleague by nominating them for an individual achievement award.

Please be safe during your Holiday travel and take time to unwind and enjoy your loved ones. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year!

Have a Blessed Day,

Dan
